How to prepare for spirometry? What rules should be followed before spirometry? What can and cannot be done? Can you eat something? Any of you have had spirometry?

- Tell your doctor what medications you are taking and he will determine if you can dispense with them before the test.
- Wear something loose on yourself for the examination.
- At least two hours before spirometry, do not eat a large meal, do not drink strong tea and coffee, and avoid any carbonated liquids.
- Give up alcohol up to four hours before the test.
- It's best not to smoke cigarettes the day before, and if you absolutely have to, hold back for an hour.
- Rest and relax 15 minutes before the test.
- You enter the examination room alone.
- If you have a poorly fitted prosthesis in your mouth that moves, you will have to remove it during the examination.
