Before which words do we put a comma in Polish? When should a comma be used? When do we use the comma?

We definitely put before "because", "because", "because", "who". We never put before "and" and "and" 🙂
We put before repeated conjunctions. Conjunctions are and/ or, be, or, ani, ni. But before the word "if" or "nor" is not always the case. Like "if there is a sentence at the beginning, there is no comma. And an example with "nor" - I have not been to Greece or Egypt.
Before the conjunction and the beginning of the sentence components within a compound sentence.
Before the words: as, as if, as if, than - but not always. We put a comma when insertion comparisons precede. Be in the form of sentences or sentence equivalents. Example - Tomasz was screaming as if he saw a vampire.
And one more thing - we put the comma in front of the expressions: and that, or better, or rather, for example, that is, it is, but only if they introduce a detail announced in the previous part of the sentence. I'll call my mom or I'll send her a message on Messenger.
An important thing has not been written yet - we also put a comma when its absence could cause ambiguity in the statement. Sometimes a comma makes a big difference to a sentence. E.g. you have an opinion:
Buy vegetables, Russian dumplings and kohlrabi.
In the sentence above, it is not really known whether it is Russian vegetables or Russian dumplings. Therefore, it is correct:
Buy vegetables, Russian dumplings and kohlrabi.
Putting commas, periods, hyphens - everything comes naturally when you read books. Read on books.
Before "e.g." A comma is often used, almost always. Very often also before "but", "or", "when".
Before and sometimes there is a comma. For example, the sentence - aunt peeled potatoes without using a knife.
