Do snails eat ants? Do they eat thuja?
I have two questions about snails that come out after rain like mushrooms 🙂
- Do snails eat thujas?
- Do snails eat ants?

Snails do not eat ants. The ants will eat the snail sooner. However, it may happen that the snails eat thujas.
Ants are too fast for a snail, they would not keep up 🙂 Moreover, the snail feeds on plants.
Snails eat thujas if they come around and have no alternative.
Some species are said to eat ants as well, but I don't know how much truth is in that.
While snails are known to eat many different plants, they are usually not known to eat ants or thujas. However, if the snail were desperate enough, it is possible that it would eat either of these things.
So far, snails do not work for me. Or at least I didn't catch them red-handed. About ants, I don't think the ant is too fast for a snail 🙂 A snail can eat something that will not run away from it.
Snails are generally herbivores and prefer a diet rich in damp leaves, fungi, rotting plants and fruit. They are not known to eat ants. Ants can pose a threat to snails because some species of ants prey on snails.
As for thuja, snails can potentially feed on the young shoots of this plant, especially if they have no access to other food sources. However, thujas and many other conifers are not the preferred food for most snails, due to their high content of resins and essential oils, which can be poisonous to them.
Snails are too slow to feed on insects, they mainly eat plants.
