How to detect if somebody clicked in the email?
Is there a way to detect if somebody clicked a link in an e-mail? If so, how can I do it? I will launch a small campaign, and I would like to know who clicked and who didn’t.

To detect if somebody clicked in the e-mail, you need to construct an individual URL address. It should direct to a page or via a page that will receive the URL parameter and save the event to Google Analitycs or your database.
Instead of writing your solution, which may take a lot of time and effort, I would recommend using some tools that already exist and are better because thousands of users use them. One of the best tools for this thing is freshmail.
This tool has everything you need when you plan an effective e-mail campaign. There are advanced stats, e-mail templates, e-mail form templates, and many more. I have been using this tool for about two years, and it pays off.
I agree with Kevin. It is easier and even cheaper. When you write an e-mail tool, you have to maintain it and it costs.
You need to set a get parameter with the recipient email address or the recipient ID.
You can do it using Google Analytics.
- Open Google Analytics Campaign URL Builder.
- Create Build your custom tracking URL.
- Insert the created URL in the email.
- Check the link clicks in Google Analytics
