What is it like on an Irish construction site?
Hi there, I come with a question to people who they live/lived/their friends live/lived w Republic of Ireland. I'm going to come back (I was there for a year to do LC) and work on a construction site, because I heard that even at the start you can count on good earnings. Coming back, my questions are:
- What is it like working with Irish people in your experience?
- Is it shitty/looser than in Poland, or is it total shit?
- Do they treat the employee like garbage, do they try to learn and treat even new people with respect?
- Last but not least: is this mythical 19 hours per hour realistic at the start, according to your experience? Thanks in advance, all the best!
Thanks in advance, all the best!

I have been working in Ireland for 3 years. In Poland, I had a good employer, but little money. In Ireland it is similar to what happened in Poland. There's no slacking, but it's not that hard either. The weather is milder here. People are just like in Poland - some are nice and warm, others are more annoying. I also worked in Germany and England, people are the same everywhere. It does not depend on nationality, but on the character of a specific person.
Listen, there are days when you can even take a 2-hour nap, and there are days when you don't even have time to sit down and drink coffee. It depends on how much work there is, what mood the boss is in, etc.
But the work is certainly not harder than in Poland, and it is certainly better paid.
Thank you very much, and do you know how much you can expect to start with? I heard that they get paid even after 19 p.m. without experience.
